Rossall Point

Rossall Point lies is the northernmost point of the Fylde Coast, located in the town of Fleetwood and looking out across Morecambe Bay towards the Lake District Fells.  There is a beach which attracts wading birds and some small sand dunes, but the main attraction is the Rossall Point Observation Tower.  This is run by the National Coastwatch Institution to provide a lookout across Morecambe Bay, but is also open to the public and can be used for bird watching or just to enjoy the views.  Opened in 2013, the Tower has an interesting angled design and makes an unusual subject set amidst the dunes and beach.
