2017 – Madonna Di Campiglio

Here are a few pictures from our skiing holiday in Madonna Di Campiglio in Italy.  Madonna is located in the Brenta Dolomites and is probably the most southerly major ski resort in Italy.  Due to its southern location, it receives a lot of sunshine, but the village is at a high altitude (1522m).  This year there was a distinct lack of natural snow, but the area has extensive snow making facilities, and as the nights are cold due to the altitude, most of the resort runs were open on artificial snow.

Generally, skiing holidays do not mix well with photography as it is impractical to carry a lot of camera equipment.  However the spectacular scenery of the Brenta Dolomites are too good to miss, so we have posted a small selection of views (taken on a compact camera), to give an idea of the scenery.
