Following a lengthy hiatus due to Covid, we took our first foreign holiday in over 2 years in October 2022, visiting Tuscany. We had previously visited Tuscany in 2019 staying close to Sienna, but on this holiday chose to stay further south in the beautiful Val D’Orcia, which has several well know photography locations and was used for several of the scenes in the film Gladiator. We stayed for 10 nights, and since we were based in a single spot we re-visited some locations several times. Therefore this holiday description is based around location and subject rather than following a strict timeline.
