Another Place is an art installation on Crosby Beach in Merseyside. It consists of 100 bronze statues, designed by Antony Gormly, spread over 2 miles of the beach, all looking out to sea. Some of the statues are only uncovered at low tide, whilst others are close into the promenade. The statues were originally displayed in Germany, the other sites in Europe, before being permanently installed at Formby in 2007. Over the subsequent years, those statues that are farthest out and spend most of their time under water are now covered in barnacles. As the beach faces west, sunset is the most evocative time of the day for photography.

Location
The main routes to Crosby are either the A59 from the north, or the M57 or M58 from the west and south. All three routes converge at a roundabout at the end of the M57, close to Aintree race course. From the roundabout, turn right along the A5758 for 2 miles, then at the next roundabout, turn left along the A565 (Moor Lane). Continue straight on at the next roundabout, then when the A565 turns left, continue straight on onto Coronation Road. The route to Another Place is signposted from here, and there is parking behind the promenade at the north end of Crosby beach.
